What began in 1846 as a small retailer of laboratory equipment is now a modern family business. Here in Königswinter, we develop and produce analysis systems that are used in laboratories all over the world. Our products help to ensure that food is correctly labelled, environmental standards are met and animal feed is produced with the best possible composition.

We operate in over 90% of the world with three subsidiaries, eight regional offices and numerous international partners.
At our headquarters in the beautiful Siebengebirge in Germany, around 100 employees manage the most important processes from development to sales and shipping of our analytical systems, laying the foundation for our international presence.

What makes C. Gerhardt special is our comprehensive approach: we do not view our systems as standalone laboratory equipment, but rather as part of a bigger picture. We consider the entire analytical process behind the determination of a parameter like protein or fibre. This allows us to maintain close communication with other manufacturers in the process chain, enabling us to complement each other perfectly.
For us, knowledge is the foundation of analytics. That is why we conduct research in our internal laboratory, but also in collaboration with external partners such as universities and institutes. This results in innovative apparatuses and applications that make everyday laboratory work easier.
